CDs of images, coming October of NEVER from Chetsy and Ones! March 1st, 2011

I just took another call from someone asking if we sell our images on CD to clients. I have been getting a lot of these lately, enough that it made me even consider it. Then I realized I cared about my clients way too much to do that to them. Let me explain.

The people that sell your files to you on a CD generally do not keep them backed up on hard drives and archival DVD’s (the kind that are said to last a minimum of 50 years). They don’t need to, why would they? That’s the disadvantage of people doing that, and it is a fairly big problem! If you aren’t terribly, concerned about your computer failing, who can possibly keep track of a little CD for that long, especially if you move?

These are all things I took into consideration when thinking about making the switch. So for those of you out there that are looking for a CD of images, I apologize. Like I said, I care too much about my clients to let them worry about losing their images forever.
