The Jake Blog July 2nd, 2010

Things have been crazy around here lately! We have been swamped with seniors. It’s been a lot of fun, and it’s only just beginning. This is one of our recent ones. We took Jakes sister’s senior portraits a couple years ago, and this year it was his turn. He is a big time jock, 3 sports, just always busy with something. One thing we talked about was lighting something on fire, and we came up with the idea of a bat. When he brought one in I was expecting an aluminum bat (because that’s what high school teams use) but instead he surprised us with an old Louisville Slugger! Well, we just had to light it on fire, but it did concern me a little (wooden bat with lacquer, add flames…hmmm.) We lit it and it stayed contained really well. No problems at all! We were prepared for the worst, so we had water ready to put it out! And we got a great shot, of course. Here it is along with a couple from the golf course. Thanks to Meadowlark Golf Course in Kearney for letting us on the course to get these!
*Oh, by the way, We got our underwater camera housing yesterday for some sessions we will be shooting in a couple weeks… underwater… yeah, these are going to rock!
